About

Needles & Nutmegs

Needles for my love of knitting, Nutmegs for my love of football (soccer). I’m an enthusiast for bright colourwork in fun geometric motifs, as well as small but plentiful cables that pack a punch. I like tonal and rustic yarns, tubular bind-off (though not cast-on), and I’m probably never, ever going to design something that involves two-colour brioche.

I’m also on a constant quest for the perfect mitten for a Canadian winter, because fingering weight mittens aren’t going to cut it.

Elizabeth

I’m a thirty-something arts-and-culture worker in Toronto, Canada, solving problems through software admin during the day and designing at night. I learned to knit comparatively late to most people – the tender age of twenty-seven! – but I took it immediately as another creative outlet. I love Liverpool FC, hate-watching House Hunters International, and eating anything lemon flavoured.
